Our story

Our story began in 2004 at a Civil War site in Kentucky, where I was leading school programs. Back then, I showcased original clothing from the era, but the kids couldn’t interact with it. To engage them, I switched to sharing period-correct toys instead. Teachers quickly began asking where they could find those toys, most of which belonged to my youngest son. After years of simply providing links, I began selling the toys during these school programs.

By 2017, after years of collecting antique toys for reference, I decided to open an online store. Just a year later, in 2018, we expanded to offer antique toys as well as our own handmade reproductions. Over the years, my traveling shop grew significantly, evolving from two small canvas marquees to a spacious 25’x25’ marquee I now use to showcase our collection.

Through constant research and crafting, I strive to create reproductions using materials that closely match the originals, preserving the authenticity and charm of traditional toys. One of my greatest joys is meeting families on the road. Parents have often shared with me that learning how to play with their children using our toys has given them their first real bonding experience in years. Those moments are priceless to me. I’m passionate about reintroducing families to the joy of traditional, non-electronic toys and games.
