Rhythm Bones

Musical bones have a history stretching back centuries, and were certainly among of the instruments brought to the North American colonies by the earliest European settlers. The rhythm of the bones contributed to the distinctive music of the new American nation as Anglo-Irish, African-American, and Creole influences came together to form unique new musical styles.
