Rag Balls

Rag ball, also known as ragtime or ragball, is believed to have originated in the 19th century, particularly associated with social gatherings and festivities.

The term "rag" in this context often referred to the use of ragged materials, such as cloth, to create makeshift balls for play. Our rag balls are wrapped around a 1" wooden ball and continuosly wrapped with fabric strips until the desired size is achieved. These are not stuffed, but are a fairly rigid ball and can be used for Cricket, Ball and Trap and Rounders (Baseball). Hand made in our workshop.
